Writing Forge Course Details

On-line Writing Course – a web-based interactive course in ten lessons to transfer creative writing skills and build confidence through focused exercises and personal feedback.

The Course...

Each of the ten modules contains valuable insights on one or more aspects of creative writing such as character development, dialogue, plotting and getting published. These are illustrated with examples from contemporary and classic fiction.

Along with each module are targetted exercises ranging from ten minute warm-ups to the production of a complete and revised short story.

Feedback...

Each exercise submitted as part of the course is assessed by a personal tutor and detailed, written feedback is provided.

Students have the option to publish selected exercises or other short fiction in The Anvil, the Writing Forge's on-line magazine.

Always Open...

The modules on this web-based course are accessible twenty four hours per day, and can be completed at a time to suit any lifestyle. Students have up to twelve months to complete all the modules.

Final Folio...

At the completion of the course a final folio is provided. This contains all the modules, exercises and tutor's feedback on the student's work throughout the course.

The folio is formatted to print or save.
